Peg(gy Hennessey) Niehaus
Many thanks to you, Michele, Mike, and esp. Chris, for putting this reunion and website together -- and for even realizing we were approaching such a milestone! As for an update, I'm currently completing a Masters in Counseling at Xavier while interning as a mental health therapist at the Health Alliance. Prior to all this, I was at home with our three daughters and involved in a mixture of volunteer activities, serving for the past 10 years as a court advocate with ProKids. I have been married to my husband, Fran, for 34 very good years. He runs a law office and a financial services business on the west side of town. We have three daughters and one son-in-law. Our oldest, Chris (29), is an M.D. and is married to Aaron Smith, a sports editor-recently turned teacher, and they are expecting their first child (our first grandchild!) on January 30. They will be in Long Beach, CA for another year and a half while Chris finishes her residency. Anne (25) is in her second year of law school at UC, and in her young life she has traveled quite a bit, working for an NGO at the UN in Geneva for two years and most recently in Botswana, Africa, where she interned last summer for High Court justice Unity Dow. Jeanne (23) graduated from Miami (Oxford) in May and is currently living in Tucson while working on a degree in Oriental Medicine and Acupuncture. I continue to be in grateful awe of the opportunities available to our children's generation. I'm very much looking forward to seeing all of you in person on the 3rd. Peg (Hennessey) Niehaus
